GED Test Schedule: The GED is a test that can be scheduled by appointment.

The General Educational Development GED Test certifies that a student has acquired the equivalent of high school level skills.  Test takers must be at least 16 years of age, must meet the local residency requirement of the state in which they are residing, must not be currently enrolled in a high school program, and must not already be a diploma-holding, high school graduate.  The test consists of five sections: writing, social studies, science, reading and mathematics. The test is scored on the common 200-800 scale, with a 410 being the minimum to receive credit for an individual section.  Overall, a student must average 450 or greater to achieve an equivalency certification.

Seattle Tutoring offers several standard tutoring programs that are structured to supplement a student who is otherwise demonstrably capable with GED subject matter and only needs a review or a student who requires comprehensive attention over a two to three month period:

  • a four session brush up (8 hours of tutoring)

  • a fifteen hour brush up program.

  • a twenty hour intensive program, allowing more time to focus on one problem area or another.

  • a twenty-five hour intensive program that permits the most comprehensive preparation available.

  • Tailored tutoring on an hourly basis (2 hour minimum)
